Air: Learning to Fly

With this regular evening class we invite our most advanced students to continue their research in Seme-nawa under our guidance. On the basis of the what has been learned up to this point, we deal with more technically complex positions. This requires a lot of routine and good communication between the partners. We address flow and dynamics, but also more advanced ideas how to develop a “scene.” We show elements and principles of the Kinbaku that we tie “for us.” In doing so we pick up positions from the “Water” or “Fire” Elements, and create new versions or develop paths of transformation between them. As a result you will become more free and creative in your bondage whilst creating images that are aesthetically reminiscent of calligraphy or ikebana.

Who is it for?

FAQ

I am a total beginner in the rope. Is the workshop suitable for me?

The ongoing course is not designed for total beginners, for beginners please see the workshop “From Zero to Patterns and Play.” In order to be able to participate really intensively and also to achieve the maximum effect for you, both partners should have developed a safe routine in joint tying in our style and be able to fluidly manage even more complex suspensions.

I do not have a partner. Can I still participate?

The workshop is deliberately advertised for couples. Even if you do not have a bondage partner yet – this is Berlin! Put an Ad in the usual platforms and you will certainly find someone who wants to share the experience with you.

Is switching allowed?

Switching is not “forbidden,” but the program is designed so that there will not be time to duplicate the exercises. We do not want the non-switchers be bored… As the principles are repeated in different exercises, you can of course do the exercises alternately if both partners want to learn actively.

My body is not as flexible as the models on the internet, can I still attend the workshop?

Yes. Kinbaku is the play on the limits of the individual possibilities of the person in the ropes, not the execution of fixed techniques. Important is the willingness of the partner in the rope to be in the rope for the limited time and the willingness of the partner with rope to deal responsibly with this gift. We will practice the techniques and principles in the workshop.
