Short description:

This is a workshop on how to connect before we ever start tying. We will explore consent and agreements, how to recognize our wishes and our limits, how to communicate them and how to do it all in an empowered and responsible way. We will introduce you to the simple model based on the Wheel of Consent by Dr. Betty Martin that will bring a lot of clarity to your communication in ropes scenes, in your relationships and beyond that in your life. We will talk and practice. There will be many interactive games and exercises offered to help you learn in an easy, playful and conscious way. You will have many opportunities to identify your desires and limits and practice communicating them.

 Who is this workshop for? 

This workshop is for people who already have made their first experiences in Japanese inspired bondage and are dealing with the questions of communication and responsibility during rope play and who would like to learn new tools for creating a joyful, confident and sensual rope scene.

What will I gain from this workshop? 

  • After this workshop you will have an understanding of consent and consensual behavior, and you will be able to negotiate a rope scene with a new partner without using a check-list
  • You will get clear guidance on what needs to be discussed to match your and partner’s expectations for a successful rope scene
  • Through repetition and different exercises, you will gain confidence in recognizing your wishes and your limits in the moment and communicating them authentically regardless to whether you are tying or being tied

 What this workshop does not provide: 

This workshop does not offer any technical rope teaching.

I am a total beginner with rope. Is this workshop suitable for me? 

Learning consent skill can be beneficial for your relationships and your life in general, even if you never touch rope. So everyone is welcome. However in this workshop we will be focusing on the particular dynamic that is happening during rope play, therefore, it is better if you have already had practical experience of meeting new partners and tying a bit, this way you will be able to benefit the most.

Will there be partner changing? 

It will be suggested, to achieve the maximum effect for you, that you do practical exercises with a new partners in the workshop. But it is never forced, the choice is always yours.
