COACHING FOR RIGGERS

Tuition and individual coaching for riggers

Whether you are taking your very first steps in Kinbaku or refining years of experience, individual coaching offers something workshops cannot: complete attention to your own learning journey.

I don't teach fixed forms or dogma. I teach how to create your own, giving you the tools to grow faster and more freely in your rope journey.

Together we identify your strengths, clarify what is holding you back and develop a structured path towards your goals. Every session is adapted to your current level, your learning style and the kind of rope you aspire to create.

Learning Kinbaku is about much more than acquiring techniques. The real challenge is transforming technical knowledge into embodied skill until rope handling becomes natural and intuitive.

As technical skills become embodied, they create the freedom to focus on what truly matters: the emotions, expressions and experience of the person in your ropes.

The Elements System

I’ve spent years asking myself how people actually acquire complex physical skills.

My background as a scientist has strongly influenced the way I teach. This curiosity eventually evolved into the Elements System, a structured didactical framework designed to help students progress faster, with greater confidence and a deeper understanding of Kinbaku.

Grounded in the Japanese principle of Shu Ha Ri, learn the form, adapt the form, transcend the form, the Elements System guides riggers from their first steps to advanced creative expression.

It combines solid technique with philosophy, aesthetics and embodied practice, ensuring students not only learn how to tie, but how to create meaningful, safe and powerful experiences.

Whether beginner or advanced, the Elements System gives riggers the tools to move beyond fixed forms and discover their own authentic rope.

COACHING FOR RIGGERS

Ready to
deepen
your
practice?

Whether you are taking your first steps or refining years of experience, I would be happy to support your journey.

I invite you to book an introductory 30 minute conversation. It is an opportunity to discuss your goals, answer your questions and explore how I can best support your development as a rigger.

Why choose individual coaching

Every rigger develops differently.

Some are looking for a clear introduction. Others feel stuck after years of practice. Some prepare for performances or teaching, while others simply want to tie with greater confidence, elegance and sensitivity.

What they all have in common is that progress rarely comes from learning more patterns.

It comes from understanding principles.

I focus on skill acquisition and embodiment at every stage, from beginner to advanced. My method combines technique, philosophy and aesthetics, supported by a didactical framework I call the Elements System. Through it, riggers learn to build safe, fluid and aesthetically powerful structures whilst developing awareness of movement, communication, limits and consent.

I don’t teach fixed forms or dogma. I teach how to create your own, giving you the tools to grow faster and more freely in your rope journey.

More anwsers

I enjoy teaching everyone from absolute beginners to very advanced riggers, so please don't feel intimidated. Every coaching session is tailored to your experience, your goals and the way you learn best.

The Elements System is my didactical framework for teaching Kinbaku, guiding riggers from their first steps to advanced creative expression.

It combines technical skill acquisition with philosophy, aesthetics and embodied practice. Rather than simply teaching techniques, it helps students understand the principles behind them, allowing knowledge to become part of their muscle memory and, ultimately, their own authentic style.

Many beginners feel overwhelmed by the amount of available information and the often contradictory advice they encounter. I provide a clear and structured path through the fundamentals, focusing on the techniques and principles that matter most.

As your body gradually learns rope handling, movement and body mechanics, your mind becomes free to focus on your partner rather than your ropes.

Workshops are excellent for inspiration and shared learning. Private coaching allows us to focus entirely on your individual practice, your questions and your challenges.

Because every session is tailored specifically to you, it often leads to significantly faster progress and a deeper understanding of your own practice.

No. My goal is not to create copies of my own rope. I help students understand the principles that allow them to develop confidence, adaptability and, ultimately, their own authentic style.

Coaching takes place in our private Studio 6×6 in Berlin, either one to one or in small groups.

For students who cannot travel to Berlin, selected topics can also be explored online via Zoom. Workshops, mentoring and guest teaching are available internationally by invitation.

I didn't have much success in learning shibari in courses and workshops before I met Alexander and Natasha. At Discover Kinbaku, I've learned not just the rope technique but also how to genuinely look after the person I'm tying and about the true spirit of kinbaku. Eternally grateful for their knowledge and their teachings.

BOYAN

One of the best places in Berlin to study Kinbaku at, great teachers ,cozy yet kinky atmosphere and a lot of knowledge and passion to ropes and human connection. Suitable for both beginners and advanced rope lovers.

DANIELA

Amazing workshops with an excellent team and impeccable teaching capacities. I have learnt a lot from all of my visits to the studio and definitely recommend them to anyone who is serious about ropes. I would also like to add that this space, including their jam, was so far one of the most queer and women* friendly open rope spaces in Berlin.

MERVE

Very thorough classes with a good energy in teaching and communication. Thank You again.
