The Kinbaku Society of Berlin (KSB) Magazine
The Kinbaku Society of Berlin (KSB) is a forum initiated by a group of passionate, enthusiastic, and creative individuals who research, practice and study traditional Japanese Rope Bondage (Kinbaku or Shibari), and related subcultures. The outcomes of our studies are published in magazine, featuring poetry, fiction, essays, documentation, drawings, and photography.
About the KSB magazine
The Kinbaku Society of Berlin Magazine is published twice a year, offering a bold and uncensored mix of visual inspiration and in-depth research. Our focus lies on both traditional and contemporary Japanese underground culture—particularly rope bondage, adult entertainment, and aesthetics—and how these are perceived in the West.
More broadly, we explore subcultures and the fringes of normative society, aiming to create a platform for genuine human expression. We give voice to those who are hentai—deviant, unconventional, outside the mold—yet whose existence is no less valid.
The magazine brings together photography, poetry, fiction, articles, documentation, drawings, and interviews. It is an art magazine created for your delight—as well as our own.
You can purchase the magazine online or find it at our physical pick-up points.
